The R’n’B/Soul singer and songwriter is coming to see scene after her last album, Gold in 2023.

Fear When You Fly, produced by her husband Inflo, is a jazzy/soulful ballad, exploring topics such as faith and resilience. The track opens with the lyrics: “If you see me, know that I’m not broken […] I will not lose hope”, instantly putting us in a bitter-sweet sensation. Sol pushes us to learn how to live, and to embrace fear in order to bloom: “You gotta learn to let go, and feel the fear when you fly”. Furthermore, she reminds us that disappointments are part of the journey: “Some friends I lost on the way”.

Sol’s soulful voice and Inflo’s instrumental production are moving, painting with perfection the path of embracing things we cannot control. Faith, like many records of Cleo Sol, as an important place in this track, with the singer expressing her devotion to God: “Know the Lord is my home, and when I pray, He strengthens me”.

All in all, Fear When You Fly is a liberating record, inviting us to live fully with resilience in our hearts.
